We are back from Quilt Market, one word WOW! What an experience, the inspiration that you get from attending knows no limits. We will share some things from market over the next few days. First thing is catch up and get orders out. Here is a little taste of what we will be offering from Market, "Sew Spooky".




We have been thinking of offering a Block of the Month for some time now, once I came across this quilt it just begged for me to bring to you! We will be offering this cute Halloween Quilt, you will be able to join as a BOM that will run for 6 months or an all at once purchase. There will be more infomation coming but we just had to give you a peak.

Quilt Market in 1 day!

Well it is here, time to go to Quilt Market!  We leave in 1 day I can't believe the time is finally here, very exciting.  My bags are pack and I'm ready to go, isn't that a song I think it is, anyway I am so very excited.  We hope to bring back exciting ideas, fabric patterns and so much more. 

We will ship all orders received from May 16th thru 19th first thing Monday morning the 21st.  We will see you when we get back!

It is only 15 more days till we leave for Quilt Market, let the countdown begin. Kansas City here we come! :o)

Wow, where have I been?  It has been a while, but I am back to let you know what is up in my world and the world of The Hometown Quilter.  We have been getting in so many new yummy fabrics, we are working on projects to show you so stop back soon to see what we are up to.

We have a new kit called Daisy Chains, it is one of the sweetest quilts, so fresh and fun. This quilt uses the fabric California Girl from Fig Tree & Co. she has the softest most inviting colors in her fabric lines. This quilt was pieced ...by a very dear friend and wonderful quilter Kay Forys, the quilt was machine quilted by Sally Whitney from Sally's Quilting Studio 810-736-7507. Sally does wonderful work she is very reasonable has good turnaround time and a knack for colors. If you are looking for a quilter look her up. This kit is available in our store www.thehometownquilter.com you can pick one up for $91.00 with pattern or if you already have the pattern you can pick one up for $82.00.

Layer Cake Quilt Along / New Blog Picture

Have you joined yet. I just joined, this looks like too much fun to miss out on I am going to use AWSOME Layer Cake by Sandy Gervais. I just love her stuff!

Have you ever tried to take a picture of your animals and they just do not want to cooperate. I am having my blog updated for Thanksgiving and the month of November. They will need a picture for the header of what I am thankful for, well the answer is "my boys" . My wonderful husband Virgil and two dogs Melvin and Oliver. I tried to get our cat in the picture "Martha Stewart" but that was just not going to happen. My husband and Melvin the schnauzer were fine, but Oliver the shitzu mix would just not look at me, I think the camera scared him. So 30 minutes and 3 treasts later I used the best one I could, we shall see. I am told they will have the blog updated in a couple of days, I can't wait.

I am thankful for a loving, caring best friend my DH and my animals. I do not have children but my animals are my Kids! We are lucky we have good friends and family and love.
